Rider Ericsson Hot-Air Pumping Engine Model

A newly-restored 1/4 scale mode of a Rider Ericsson Hot-Air Pumping Engine has rejoined the museum’s collection. See it in action.

A 1/4 scale model of an original engine at the New England Wireless & Steam Museum, this model was made by the Myers Engine Works. Partially completed when donated to the museum, the model was damaged in a flood, salvaged by Ernie Darrow, then completed and restored by Rolf Richter in the winter of 2018-19. Plans provided by Myers Engine Works.
