If you know the answer to that question, you likely have exceptionalmechanical engineering abilities and I have a challenge for you.
In the basement of the Massie building I discovered what appears to be 1930 Capeheart Amperion Record changer. Thischanger loaded up with a stack of records and automatically played one side of them all. As each record completed its play, the changer flipped it and placed the record on top of the adjacentstack. It then slid the next record out from the bottom of the stack(this is where the chain dog comes into play) and placed it on the turntable, now playing the opposite side of the one firstplayed.
Imagine this changer in operating mode and free of any cabinet.Visitors would love to see this marvel of engineering at work.If you need a challenge, here it is. Watch the video linkedbelow. Then take the challenge that is waiting in the basementof Massie.
Some people rescue injured wild animals. You could rescue onewild mechanical marvel!
