The Champlin Foundation's next grant cycle will open on December 15, 2021,
and close on January 15, 2022. This cycle includes requests for traditional
grants, but applications for houses of worship and traditional public
middle schools/ junior high schools will only be considered in Cycle 2,
which opens on June 1, 2022. Each organization can only apply once per
calendar year. If you are thinking of applying, we encourage you to give
thoughtful consideration as to which cycle is best for your project. The
Champlin Foundation will be looking for projects that are able to commence
shortly after the funds are received, so that grant awards can be fully
expended within 12-months whenever possible.
If you received a grant in 2019, 2020, or the *first cycle* of 2021, and
have been unable to complete the project due to cost increases in
equipment/supplies, know that you may include requests for supplemental
funds within a 2022 application. Please be sure to include information
regarding how much of the previous project has been completed, and what
additional funds you need to move forward. We would expect to see
contractor/vendor quotes that can be compared to what was originally
submitted with the first request.
