This is a commendable restoration.The process involves documenting every connectionand then removing all wiring and components as acomplete harness. All tube socket rivets are drilled out. Then the chassis is stripped by various methods.If it was an E. H. Scott (like the one we have in Massie) it wouldthen go to the chrome plater. Two chassis for a Scott (powersupply and tuner). Also all transformer covers, etc. also get plated. After paying the plater at least $1,000 you reassemble.
This one would most likely just be spray painted.All grommets and other rubber mounts are replaced. Bad wire replaced,caninet restored, etc.
