[Thursday] Steam Central in Westerly

I think we could put together some informational graphics about the energy
conversion from fuel converted to heat to pressure to motion to
electricity. I don't know off hand if we have any model sized working steam
generating plants there, but we might be able to get something together for
actual demonstrations.  We might be able to have visitors crank a small
generator to light a light, and then simply hook up a belt to the engine
model and have the lamp lit by the same process we're describing in the
graphic.  Some photos of the larger engines would make a good background.
Of course a crystal radio or the battery shorted over a file demonstration
would also make for great examples of the energy that is around us all the
time in radio waves.  No batteries, no wires, it's magic!
