Not sure if this is too fancy for our purposes, but I've noticed more than once "I need a key" or "I need to be let in" requests.

There are push button entry sets ( that even look old fashioned ) which can be remotely set for an entry passcode number. And anyone unlocking it, it is logged.

I have something like that on our home and makes it easy to let for example a service person in, then cancel their code number afterwards.

May be a worthwhile upgrade to efficiency and adds a little security as well due to the door openings being logged.  We have I think six buildings that so we'd only need that many of these doorknob set.
