8 29 19 About 12 volunteers today
Thursday projects in no particular order
Cleaning and organizing continues in the wireless building
Inventory and arranging is still ongoing in the engineering library
Boxed stuff from the back room in the wireless building is now being moved to the attic of the shop for temporary storage
Steam up planning and prep continues
The new cap for the handicapped railing on the Mayes building is on hand. A really nice piece of what appears to be 5 quarter mahogany decking. I used some of this on my boat a few years ago and it is amazingly cheap.
Hard plumbing on the Lookout Boiler is about half completed. This is for the new automatic water level control. By RI law the automatic level control has to be completely isolated from the main water fill piping. The plumbing on the injector will also have some minor changes. It will also get rid of the washing machine hoses as part of the boiler plumbing. There will still be 2 stainless washing machine hoses from the valves on the water supply post by the boiler to the hard piping on the boiler.
The Troy Engberg engine lubrication system is now all set for this year. The governor has been removed until we can figure out how to completely weatherize it.
The new piping to the turbine mentioned last week should be completed next week.
The bricking around and under the De La Vergne engine was weeded.
If I forgot or missed anything OOPS!
Ernie
