All,

Partial report for 8-1 on projects done by various volunteers
Fitchburg mechanical oiler linkage repaired and adjusted
Fitchburg admission valve slide oilers repaired, reinstalled and adjusted
Pumped out the condensate pit by the Ball engine. Now we can see what needs to be repaired on the Fitchburg exhaust and in the pit
Cleaned out the mouse leavings and washed the inside of the Fitchburg tool cabinet. The holes in the cabinet were sealed to keep mice out in the future.
The repair/rebuilding and adjustment of the steam trap under the Harris Corliss continues
Continued cleaning and rearranging in the shop attic.
Continued cleaning and rearranging the back room in the Wireless building.
For those of you that haven't been here lately the changes in the shop attic and Wireless Building back room is nothing short of incredible. One important note on these projects is that there has been virtually NOTHING thrown away with the exception of a few empty cardboard boxes. It is amazing what can be done with simply stacking/storing in an orderly fashion.
Continued inventory and arranging in the Engineering Library.
Established Safety rules for Steam-up Exhibitors.
Surveyed small (not model) steam engines in the Mayes building to exhibit one at the Mystic Seaport Antique Marine Engine Exposition later this month.
The steam piping replacement in the steam building is about 98% complete. Once we have the piping completed we need to insulate it. It is nice to be able to drain most of the condensate from one point at the end of the main steam line.
If I missed anything it wasn't intentional.

Ernie
