Navy Type 96 “Ku” (sky) Mark 2 Radio Set
This is a Japanese Navy Aircraft Transceiver capable of voice and CW with a frequency range of 300-500 KHz and 5,000-10,000 KHz. It was made by NIHON MUSEN Co. (Japan Wireless Co.) in July 1941, now known as JRC.
This radio set was developed in 1936 for Navy two-seat aircraft like small bombers and used end of World War II. There are three types of this radio set, prototype, Improvement -1 and Improvement -2. This radio set is type prototype.
There are two modes of operation for this radio set, A1 and A2 is break-in method by key operation, A3 is press-to-talk method by a push button switch attached to the microphone.
