This 100 HP Eclipse Lookout boiler originally powered a pile driver. It was donated to the museum by Geil Construction, and the donation was facilitated by Charles A. Moore. It is now the primary source of steam for engines in the Merriam Steam Building. The boiler is usually fired with wood but it also has an oil burner available. The boiler gets annual inspections to maintain the operating license, and was retubed by Chris Riggs and his company, AD&D Welding and Boiler Works.
