I always looked at social media sites like the wild wild west. Just
about anything goes and you can just about get away with anything.. back
in 2005 when my antenna technology was introduced it would have been open
season on me from every self appointed antenna engineer on the planet. I
would have had little peace back in those days. So of the post were retty
bad and I was called everything from a snake oil salesman to vennus little
weasel and some I cannot or would not repeat. And accused of just about
everything sinister.

I however, at the suggestion of all my colleagues at the University of
Rhode Island ignored them. I just kept plugging away. The retr and about a
dozen patents later is history.

The museum is a wonderful experience, few people ( other than technology
geeks like us) actually understand the history of development over the last
120 years or so. The personalities involved and their trials and
tribulations I can only imagine what they will be saying and looking at in
the next 120 years. It has always been up to minds like our to preserve
what is important so future generations can have and share the same
experiences.

Which brings us back to social media, I am not sure such a place is where
we really want to be.
