[Thursday] Connecticut Radio & Communications Museum Celebrates 100th

This is a recreation of an amateur transatlantic radio communication that took place 100 years ago. The CT crew will be using a replicaof the homebrew rig that accomplished the feat.
Recall that our government gave the High Frequency (HF) bands toamateurs because scientists said they were ‘useless’ for radiocommunication. 100 years later we are still doing it.
On a personal note I once contacted a station in France usingMorse Code. I was using a radio I built from a kit. The radioput out a 1.5 watt signal.
