[Thursday] Massie First American Made Receiver?

I found this in the Providence Journal May 20 1928 about a radio exhibit at the Outlet Company in Providence.  It claims that on display they had the first American made Receiver from 1903. They attributed the set to Massie. I believe they are talking about the Oscillaphone.  1903 was also the year that Massie setup the connection to block island for the Block Island Wireless newspaper for the Providence Journal.  I wish I could find an better description of the exhibit but so far no luck.
