Hey All,
I returned to the museum after some absence and started on a new project...museum history!!
There was a big box of photographs in the office so I started with them. After sorting through about half the box I had to call it quits as my feet were freezing from sitting still for so long but I got a few piles of pictures sorted in groups for the Wireless and Steam Buildings, the Massie Building and a bunch for steam up...still a lot to do.
I learned that the antenna mast on the Massie Building was replaced because of the damage from the wind storm. Thanks to Craig for his high lift that made the reach to the top so much easier and safer.
Ben Weinstein's father stopped by to get approval for Ben's Boy Scout Eagle project which is supposed to start this month.
Warren worked in the Museum Library which felt like a meat cooler...funny how cold that room is.
Len spent a lot of time in the Meeting Hall Library searching for a copy of a book he's missing pages from but was not able to locate a copy.
Next weeks weather outlook appears to be better than today so if it works out to be warmer with less wind the plan is to replace the second window on the East side of the Mayes Building. As the weather improves we hope to replace the windows in the office and Library.
I guess that's all for now. Thanks for all that participated today.
Glad to be back,
LOU
