Two of us got it in here, but that was a long time ago. <div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Last used in the early 1980s by MIT roommate to build jigs and fixtures to fabricate sample F15 fuel vent port cowlings to satisfy a proof of ability to bid on a repair parts contract.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">He did it to prove a point that two guys in a garage could get DoD parts contracts - then he turned it down, and gave me the lathe. There’s more to the story, but it sounds better with beer.<br class=""><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Lathe is in treet level ex-storefront under my home, floor about 10” above sidewalk, since taken over as a pantry and overflow shoe storage by my partner. <div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">So first I need to negotiate alternative shoe stacking area, then we simply crib up sidewalk to meet floor and use pipe rollers to nudge it out the door onto a lowboy trailer.</div><div class=""><br class=""></div><div class="">Got my 10x15 Chandler & Price printing press out that way about 5 years ago… piece of cake.
